Capacity Building is a very wide concept, which can contain many different types of training activities or workshops. The aim of capacity building training is to improve or increase the organizational strengths of an organisation. This can be an NGO, but also a city council, political party or a commercial team – for example a small company in the post-startup phase of its development. Common topics in capacity building are:
- Training in project management
- Professionalisation of an NGO
- Strategic planning
- Analysis of the situation and/or environment of the organisation, like SWOT analysis, PEST analysis
- Life-cycle of an organisation
- Training in (selected) group facilitation methods

To make a capacity building process successful, it starts with a needs analysis. After that, in cooperation with the requesting organisation we agree on a set of activities (training, workshops, consultation), tailor-made to address the needs.
